Building community on two wheels.

Imagine a bicycling center that provides bicycles free of charge to the citizens of Hartford, whether to the youth looking for safe fun or the commuters getting back and forth from work. The bicycles are salvaged and rebuilt in the shop by the people themselves, giving value to their bicycles and teaching them the mechanics of the bicycle. The builds, safety lessons and bicycling events all happen in the shop, functioning as a catalyst for a nascent bicycling community.
